Rook Terms of Service
Last updated: July 17, 2026
Welcome to Rook. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Rook Fantasy Football LLC, a Colorado limited liability company ("Rook," "we," "us," or "our"), and they govern your use of the Rook website, web application, and browser extension (together, the "Service").
Rook Fantasy Football LLC 1500 N Grant St, Ste N, Denver, CO 80203, USA Contact: [email protected]
By creating an account, installing the extension, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Summary
This summary is for convenience only and is not a substitute for the full Terms below.
- Rook is an AI-powered strategy and analysis tool for season-long fantasy football. It provides draft rankings, values, trade and waiver analysis, and live draft guidance.
- Rook's recommendations are informational only. They are not guarantees, and following them does not guarantee any particular result in your fantasy league.
- Rook is not a gambling or betting service. All "dollars," "budgets," "bids," and "prices" in the Service refer to in-game fantasy auction currency, not real money. Rook does not process real-money wagers.
- You need accounts with third-party platforms (Yahoo, ESPN, Sleeper) to use much of the Service. Rook is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by those platforms.
- Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime, effective at the end of your current billing period.
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to purchase a paid plan.
1. Who can use Rook
You may use the Service only if you can form a binding contract with us and are not barred from doing so under applicable law.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to purchase a paid subscription. Rook is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly allow them to create accounts.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.
2. What Rook is — and what it is not
2.1 Rook is a strategy tool
Rook analyzes fantasy football data and produces AI-generated rankings, player values, projections, auction and draft guidance, and trade and waiver recommendations. It is designed to help you make your own decisions in your own fantasy football leagues.
2.2 Rook is not affiliated with the fantasy platforms
Rook connects to third-party fantasy platforms, including Yahoo Fantasy, ESPN Fantasy, and Sleeper, to sync your leagues and assist during drafts. Rook is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by Yahoo, ESPN, Sleeper, the NFL, or any other league, team, or organization. All trademarks and player, team, and league names are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only.
Your use of those third-party platforms remains governed by their own terms of service. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Rook is consistent with the terms of any platform you connect. If a platform changes its systems, terms, or interfaces, some Rook features may stop working, and we may modify or discontinue those features.
2.3 Rook is not a gambling service
Rook is a strategy and analysis tool for season-long fantasy football. It is not a daily fantasy sports (DFS) service, a sportsbook, a betting platform, or any other real-money gambling product.
Every reference in the Service to "dollars," "budget," "bid," "price," "value," or "auction" refers to in-game fantasy currency used within your fantasy league — it is not real money and has no cash value. Rook does not accept, process, hold, or pay out real-money wagers, and Rook does not collect or have access to your real financial or betting information. The only real payments Rook processes are subscription fees for paid plans, described in Section 5.
3. AI recommendations, projections, and no guarantee of results
This section is important. Please read it carefully.
Rook's rankings, values, projections, and recommendations are generated by automated systems, including artificial intelligence and statistical models, using data from third-party sources. They are provided for informational and entertainment purposes only.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- Recommendations are not advice you are required to follow. Every draft, trade, waiver, and lineup decision is yours. Rook is a tool to inform your judgment, not a substitute for it.
- No outcome is guaranteed. Fantasy football depends on real-world athletic performance, injuries, coaching decisions, weather, and chance — none of which Rook controls or can reliably predict. Rook does not guarantee that following its recommendations will cause you to win, place, cash, or achieve any particular result in any draft, matchup, or league.
- Projections can be wrong. Player values, projections, and analysis are estimates. They may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate, including because of errors or gaps in third-party data.
- You bear the risk of your decisions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rook is not responsible for the results of any fantasy football decision you make, whether or not it was informed by the Service.
If you participate in any league, contest, or arrangement involving real money, entry fees, or prizes, you do so entirely on your own responsibility and at your own risk, and you are solely responsible for complying with all laws that apply to you.
4. Your account and your data
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data the Service collects, how it is used and stored, and how you can delete it. By using the Service you agree to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.
In short (see the Privacy Policy for full detail):
- To sync ESPN leagues, the extension reads your ESPN session cookies and sends them to the Rook backend so we can retrieve your league data on your behalf. ESPN session credentials are stored encrypted at rest.
- During a live draft, the extension relays draft events (picks, bids, nominations) to Rook so we can generate real-time guidance.
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties, and the extension contains no analytics, tracking, or advertising.
- You can disconnect a platform or delete your account at any time from your Account settings.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, and for ensuring you have the right to connect any account you connect to Rook.
5. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
5.1 Plans
Rook offers a free plan and paid subscription plans. The features, limits, and current prices of each plan are described on our pricing page within the Service. We may offer monthly and full-season billing options.
5.2 Payment processing
Paid subscriptions are billed through our third-party payment processor. Rook does not collect or store your full payment card details — those are handled by the payment processor under its own terms and security standards. You authorize us (through our processor) to charge your chosen payment method for the plan you select.
5.3 Automatic renewal
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or seasonal, as you selected) at the then-current price for that plan, until you cancel. By purchasing a plan, you authorize these recurring charges.
5.4 Cancellation
You may cancel at any time from your Account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access to your paid features until then, and you will not be charged again after that period ends.
5.5 Price changes
We may change our prices or plan features. If we change the price of a plan you are subscribed to, we will give you notice, and the new price will apply to your next billing period after the notice. Your continued use after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.
5.6 Refunds
Except where required by law, subscription fees are non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused features, or periods during which your account remained open but unused. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at [email protected] and we will review it in good faith.
5.7 Free plan and credits
We may offer a free plan and limited free usage or credits. We may change, limit, or discontinue free offerings at any time. Free credits and allowances have no cash value and are not transferable.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in violation of any law, or in violation of the terms of any third-party platform you connect;
- Access another user's account, credentials, or data without authorization;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to extract the source code, models, or underlying data of the Service, except to the limited extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- Copy, resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit Rook's rankings, values, projections, or other outputs, except for your own personal use within your own fantasy leagues;
- Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure, including through automated bulk requests, denial-of-service attempts, or circumventing rate limits or access controls;
- Introduce malware or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or to other users' data;
- Use the Service to build or train a competing product, or to create a substitute for the Service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
7. Intellectual property
The Service — including its software, design, text, rankings, values, projections, models, and other content we create — is owned by Rook Fantasy Football LLC and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own fantasy football purposes, subject to these Terms.
We do not claim ownership of the data you bring to Rook (such as your league rosters and settings retrieved on your behalf from third-party platforms). You grant us the permissions necessary to process that data to provide the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Player names, team names, league names, and platform names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only for identification and analysis.
8. Third-party services and data
The Service relies on third-party platforms and data sources, including fantasy platforms and sports-data providers. We do not control those third parties, and we are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or practices. Third-party data may be incomplete, delayed, or incorrect, and features that depend on a third party may change or stop working if that third party changes or discontinues its service. Your dealings with any third party are solely between you and that third party.
9. Service availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time — including during high-demand periods such as draft season. We may modify, suspend, add, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. Where a change is material and we reasonably can, we will provide notice within the Service.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We specifically disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, that its recommendations, projections, or data will be accurate or reliable, that it will be available, secure, or error-free, or that any result — in fantasy football or otherwise — will be achieved through its use.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Rook Fantasy Football LLC, its members, and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or league standing, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
- Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) fifty U.S. dollars (US$50).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rook Fantasy Football LLC and its members and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your violation of the terms of any third-party platform you connect through Rook.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 3, 7, 10, 11, 12, and 14 — will survive.
If you have a paid subscription and we terminate your account without cause, we will refund any prepaid, unused portion of your subscription.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to any rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection laws where you live, you agree that the state and federal courts located in Colorado will have jurisdiction over any dispute that is not otherwise resolved, and you consent to venue there.
Before filing any formal claim, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the Service. Changes take effect when posted. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, stop using the Service and, if applicable, cancel your subscription.
16. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Rook regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
- Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect, and the unenforceable provision will be applied to the maximum extent permitted.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- No third-party beneficiaries. These Terms do not create any rights for anyone other than you and Rook.
